thebluedoor was assigned the task of helping the established, leading German publishing house Suddeutsche Verlag with the online launch and subsequent promotion of a new B2B international magazine, cyclingmobility. Timescales were tight with the first issue of the magazine being distributed four days after the initial credentials meeting with thebluedoor.

The key aims from the outset have included the use proactive social media engagement (via Twitter, Facebook and YouTube), reach the potential subscriber and influential stakeholders and above all ensure that regular online content is developed that is both newsworthy and keyword rich. Initially focusing on immersion in the brand and the set-up of relevant social media channels to promote the launch of cyclingmobility, thebluedoor also provided training on the range of social media tools and proactively began blogger engagement.

After the initial three months, the online engagement had been highly successful reaching all pre-defined key geographies (US, Germany, Australia, Scandinavia and the UK) and developing strong links with influential guest bloggers around the world. thebluedoor has since been tasked with developing and driving SEO activity to aid natural search for the magazine to tie in with a refresh of the main website, whilst supporting brand awareness through additional Facebook campaigns and online advertising.
