Mars Drinks case study: netting results.
Big business and brands are squaring up to the meteoric rise of online usage and its importance in lead generation. Purchasers now start their procurement journey online in order to research what other people are saying about service, price, quality and delivery. All of these influence final purchasing decisions.

Earlier this year Mars Drinks’ web presence required online support in the form of content and PR activity. thebluedoor implemented a strategic online activity campaign to support the Mars Drinks’ search requirements. Integral to this was the intensive ‘feeding’ of a Mars-owned blog by creating content that was credible, interesting, search-smart and relevant to current news agendas. The objectives: to enhance Google search results of key terms to support lead generation, and to link with planned paid and natural search activity. Following the campaign, a Google search of key terms – ‘drink’ and ‘vending’ –returned the blog as first or second on the first page of returns.
In addition, thebluedoor commenced a media relations campaign with key trade publications. Coverage has appeared in Marketing, The Grocer, Caterer & Hotelkeeper, FM Online, Facilities Management, Auto Vending, Vending International and others.
